BILL MORAN of Blinc Publishing is a 3rd-generation letterpress printer, graphic designer and professor of printing history at the University of Minnesota. His clients include Prince, Arianna Huffington, Wells Fargo, 3M and a host of other Twin Cities businesses. Since 2001 he has volunteered at the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum in a variety of roles including the writing and publishing of his book Hamilton Wood Type, A History in Headlines. The book chronicles the history of the company and documents contemporary projects undertaken by the museum’s visiting artists. He currently serves as the Museum’s Artistic Director, responsible for all aspects of merchandise, annual programming and the museum’s visual brand. Bill was also responsible for the highly successful partnership between Hamilton Wood Type and Target Corporation, managing image selection and creative direction for their Vintage Varsity back to school clothing brand.
