Heather Bradley is a creative strategist, designer, illustrator and writer with 15 years experience. Her first book, “DESIGN FUNNY: A Graphic Designer’s Guide to Humor” will be published in early 2015. Heather received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Michigan and an illustration residency from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She dropped out of The Second City Improv program after realizing she’s more comfortable hiding behind a computer.
She has served as the Creative Director for comedy empire The Cheezburger Network—home of the LOLcat, FAIL, and other workplace timewasters, award-winning teen site gURL.com and woman’s community portal iVillage.com. Her work has appeared on FunnyOrDie.com, ComedyCentral.com and Memebase.com, as well as publications commissioned by Penguin and Primedia. She has served as an adjunct professor of graphic design and conceptualization at New York University. Heather currently lives in Seattle with her husband videogame concept artist Nathan Campbell and their tiny dogs: Micron and Pixel.
